More Life Drawing, Week 3

More Lifedrawing. :) This session was great. I love the model to death, because she's got so many contrasting curves.

p.s. I drew this one during life drawing too. Same guy from the last session. It's sort of pre-production for a poster I'm working on for extra credit/my own personal means.

I kept it in my sketchbook between all those lifedrawing pictures and asked people which image doesn't belong.

Life drawing, Week 3

More life drawing from this Thursday. In my opinion, it didn't turn out as good as it was last week, but there were still a couple of ones I really enjoyed. The last one required major alterations to the face--after I drew it I realized it looked creepily like a naked me. So now it looks like Michelle and I had some sort of bizzare lovechild that posed naked for me.

Also, while not neccessarily lifedrawing, I drew it at life drawing. From a comic I plan on working on full-steam once school is no longer insane. ): Regardless I think I can safely say it sums up my feelings about portfolio class, except I don't think you can quite include "doubting yourself" in a picture like that. Maybe he's bleeding doubt.

Lifedrawing, weeks 1 and 2

Lifedrawing has been mega-fun for the past two weeks. I've been going to the Thursday sessions, and it's pretty intimidating, because all of my teachers and a bunch of professionals are there. So people will be scouting the room and you're not sure whether or not they're another student like you or they're the art director of ArenaNet. Moral of this story: be nice to everyone. These are some of the best drawings I did (trust me, there were lots of crappy ones) over the past two weeks, in order of when they were drawn. The male drawings were all from the first week.
